Job summary
MZEC Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Product Development Executive to drive development and improvement of plywood, timber and wood-based product lines. You will coordinate development activities, evaluate new opportunities, and work with Sales, Marketing and Procurement to align with business objectives.
The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Procurement, 3–5 years in product development, and strong sourcing/market research skills with travel
Qualifications
- Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, procurement or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in product development.
- Technical knowledge of plywood, timber, or wood-based products.
- Strong sourcing and analytical market research skills.
- Willing to travel locally and overseas.
Responsibilities
- To support the development of new products and improvement of existing products in line with company's business objectives, market trends, customer requirement, and quality standards while ensuring cost effective
- Coordinate product development activities, conduct product testing, evaluations, to ensure products meet the required regulatory specifications
- Review existing products and recommend improvement in quality and cost efficiency based on customers' feedback and business needs
- Gather customer and market feedback after product launch and implement necessary improvements
- Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Procurement and other relevant departments to ensure smooth product development
- Monitor market trends and market research relevant to the business objective
- Assist in product costing, pricing analysis and cost optimization
