Job summary

Talent Recruit is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager for the wood-based/picture frame industry in Malaysia. This role focuses on expanding the customer base, forging strong distributor and client relationships, and driving growth within a diversified manufacturing group.

The position requires proven BD/sales experience, good negotiation skills, and willingness to travel locally and internationally to grow the company’s footprint in regional and export markets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar commercial role.
• Experience in wood-based products, furniture, building materials, or related industries is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Independent, results-oriented, and commercially driven.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in local and international markets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key clients
• Drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and product opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to align product offerings with market demand
• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and business plans
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and client engagements
