Job summary

UST Global (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is hiring a Level 1 IT Support technician to assist end users with hardware and software issues, diagnose problems, and ensure timely resolutions. You will install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, operating systems, and applications, while logging incidents and updates in the ticketing system.

The role requires willingness to work a 3-shift rotation (including nights, weekends and public holidays).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware repair and software troubleshooting.
• Familiar with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking and ticketing systems.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Fresh graduates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 technical support to end users.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, OS, and applications.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, networking, and peripherals.
• Perform hardware replacement and basic repair for PCs and components.
• Handle IT support tickets and meet SLA requirements.
• Support user accounts, password resets, access issues, and basic Active Directory administration.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams for escalation when needed.
• Work in a 3-shift rotation, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when scheduled.
