Job summary

VAT Group in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, is seeking a permanent IT Support Technician to provide continuous IT operational support and monitor incidents impacting production and offices. The role includes after-hours availability on a rotating shift and hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, and network issues.

You will coordinate with production line leaders and specialized IT teams, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.

Qualifications

Diploma in Information Technology or related field is required.
Experience in IT production operations and supporting production environments.
Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, network connectivity, printers, and user accounts.

Responsibilities

Provide continuous IT operational support according to the assigned rotating shift schedule.
Monitor and respond to IT incidents affecting production, office, and critical business services.
Ensure IT support remains available outside normal hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Provide support during critical incidents, outages, or production ramp-up.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and printers; manage network devices and peripherals.
Coordinate with production line leaders and IT teams during incidents; assist with logs and handover.
