Job summary

VAT Group AG in Malaysia (Penang) invites an IT Operations Technician to join our 24/7 rotating shift team. You will provide continuous IT support for production, offices and critical services, ensuring incidents are resolved promptly.

The role requires a Diploma in Information Technology, experience in IT production operations, and familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, networks, printers and peripherals. CompTIA A+ or Network+ is a plus; night, weekend and public holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

Diploma in Information Technology or related field required.
Experience in IT production operations and familiarity with hardware, OS, software and peripherals.
Familiarity with Windows, MS 365, network connectivity, printers, and user accounts.

Responsibilities

Provide continuous IT operational support according to rotating shift schedule.
Monitor and respond to IT incidents affecting production, shopfloor, offices and critical services.
Ensure IT support outside normal hours including nights, weekends and holidays per roster.
Provide IT assistance for production lines, shopfloor PCs, terminals, scanners and printers.
Coordinate with production leaders, engineers and IT teams during incidents.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, scanners, printers.
