Job summary

Public Mutual Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a capable IT Helpdesk Technician to provide first-level IT support via phone, email, and in person. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install and configure IT hardware and software, and coordinate with users and backend IT teams to resolve technical problems.

The role requires a diploma or degree in IT or related field and 2–3 years of relevant experience. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field is required.
• 2-3 years of relevant IT helpdesk or technical support experience will be an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems and IT ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support via phone, email, walk-in, remote access and ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, system and application issues promptly.
• Install, configure, deploy and maintain IT hardware and software.
• Conduct technical testing for in-house applications, systems, websites and mobile applications.
• Coordinate with users, vendors and backend IT teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor operating systems, software versions, patches and updates.
• Manage IT assets, software licenses, inventory and related records.
• Assist in IT projects, process improvements and other duties as assigned.
