Job summary

TTOP Industrial & Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Tender Engineer to prepare and coordinate tender submissions for engineering and project works, review documents, and ensure compliance with client requirements.

The role includes cost estimation, supplier quotations, and collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, Project, Sales and Accounts teams to prepare competitive submissions. Site visits and tender briefings may be required as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of tendering, estimation, proposal or engineering-related work.
• Familiar with tender documents, BOQ, drawings, specifications and cost estimation.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
• Ability to meet tight tender deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate tender and quotation submissions for engineering and project works.
• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, BOQ and scope of work.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimates and pricing.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Project, Sales and Accounts teams for tender preparation.
• Prepare tender clarifications, technical queries and submission documents.
• Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements, specifications and submission deadlines.
• Conduct basic cost analysis, quantity take-off and material estimation.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, method statements and other technical documentation.
• Monitor tender opportunities and maintain proper records of submitted tenders.
• Attend tender briefings, site visits and clarification meetings when required.
• Support management in reviewing tender risks, costs and commercial terms before submission.
