Job summary

STRAITSASIAUTILITIESANDCONSTRUCTIONSDN.BHD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to identify tender opportunities and prepare comprehensive submissions. You will manage BOQ, cost estimates and pricing from drawings and specifications, while sourcing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

Role involves site visits, client liaison, and negotiation of terms with main contractors. Maintain records of tender opportunities and build strong client networks in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing tender submissions and cost estimates.
• Ability to analyze drawings and specifications for costing.
• Familiarity with tender management processes in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Source and identify new tender/project opportunities.
• Prepare tender submissions, quotations, BOQ and cost estimates.
• Take-off quantities and pricing based on drawings/specifications.
• Prepare costing for HDD, duct laying, trenching, manholes and civil works.
• Source and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations.
• Attend site visits and assess site conditions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors and suppliers.
• Follow up submitted quotations and tender opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
• Develop new client and contractor relationships.
• Maintain tender/project opportunity records.
