Job summary

HELP International School in Malaysia invites applications for a Secondary Mandarin Teacher on a temporary contract from March 2027 to June 2027. You will deliver KS3 and IGCSE Foreign Language content, design schemes of work, and assess student progress while fostering a collaborative, supportive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Language Studies or Education, have at least three years of teaching experience (IGCSE Mandarin a plus), and be fluent

Responsibilities

• Understand the subject area content and schemes of work.
• Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans for KS3 and IGCSE Foreign Language.
• Deliver lessons effectively according to students' learning abilities.
• Develop appropriate assessment tasks and provide timely feedback.
• Take responsibility for a class and support holistic development of students.

Job Descriptions:

To have an in-depth understanding of the subject area content, skills and understanding as prescribed in the school’s schemes of work.

To prepare schemes of work and lesson plans, deliver lessons effectively according to the learning ability of the students for Key Stage 3 and IGCSE Foreign Language.

Develop appropriate assessment tasks, providing timely and effective feedback that enhances student’s learning

Take responsibility for a class, supporting, nurturing and taking a genuine interest in the holistic development of all students in that class; knowing each of them individually as a learner.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree majoring in Language Studies/Education or its related field of studies.

2. Having at least 3 years teaching experience preferable teaching Stage 3 & above and IGCSE Foreign Language.

Candidate is able to conduct the classes independently.

Passion to teach and interact with the students.

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
