Job summary

MAHSA University seeks a dedicated Mandarin educator to deliver engaging lessons for Years 7–11 and to prepare Year 10–11 students for Cambridge IGCSE Mandarin. The role emphasises aligning with curriculum, developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE assessments.

The successful candidate will have a strong Mandarin command, an English baseline, experience in an international school, and a proven track record in IGCSE preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mandarin, Chinese Language, Education or related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification or equivalent.
• Relevant experience teaching Mandarin at Secondary School level.
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE Mandarin, preferably at Year 10–11 level.
• Good understanding of the Cambridge IGCSE Mandarin syllabus and examination requirements.
• Strong Mandarin language proficiency and good command of English.
• Experience in an international school.
• Experience preparing students for IGCSE examinations.
• Familiarity with Cambridge assessment materials and past examination papers.
• Strong subject knowledge and communication skills.
• Good lesson planning and classroom management skills.
