Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking a Senior Collections leader in Malaysia to drive strategy, governance and execution across the collections function. You will coordinate with Risk, Compliance and Business teams to optimise processes, ensure policy adherence and manage regulatory expectations.

The role requires strong experience in collections operations, data analytics, and stakeholder management within a banking environment, with a focus on risk controls and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency for business communication.
• Experience with dialer systems and collection platforms.
• Ability to prepare and present review decks (Excel/PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of regulatory and risk controls in collections.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute collection strategies to maximise productivity and reduce charge-offs.
• Ensure compliance with group policies and regulatory requirements in all in-country procedures.
• Close policy/process gaps within agreed timelines and resolve audit findings.
• Provide market intelligence and adjust policies and strategies accordingly.
• Oversee governance, risk, and operational controls in collections activities.
