Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Reliability Testing Engineer to support IC reliability testing, data-logging with automated test equipment, and bench verification of circuits. You will operate curve tracers, oscilloscopes and multimeters for calibration and contribute to reliability stress tests.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Electronics/Mechatronics and 1–3 years in the semiconductor industry with reliability lab experience preferred, plus good communication

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Electronics/Mechatronics or equivalent vocational cert.
• 1–3 years in semiconductor industry, reliability lab experience preferred.
• Experience with reliability testing, statistical analysis, failure analysis and IC testing.
• Good communication skills and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability testing with loading/unloading IC devices onto biased boards and chambers.
• Assist electrical testing and data-logging of IC devices using automated test equipment.
• Bench testing and debugging of reliability test circuits and boards.
• Operate curve tracer, oscilloscope and multimeters for in-house calibration.
• Apply knowledge of reliability stress testing (environmental, electrical/functional, acoustics).
• Reliability engineering support tasks as needed.

• Support electrical testing and data-logging of integrated circuit devices using automated test equipment.
• Bench testing and debugging of reliability test circuits / boards verification.
• Operation of measurement equipment such as curve tracer, oscilloscope and multimeters for supporting in-house calibration activities.
• Know-how in reliability stress testing eg. Environmental, Electrical/ Functional, and acoustics stress testing.
• Reliability engineering support responsibilities may be assigned on an as needed basis.

• A Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent vocational certification.
• Minimum 1 – 3 years of working experience in semiconductor industry (Reliability lab experience preferred).
• Experiences of reliability testing, statistical analysis, failure analysis and IC testing.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and working experience with MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook and similar desktop computing applications.
