Job summary

Infineon Technologies Malaysia is seeking a Staff Engineer Maintenance to strengthen the Manufacturing and Operations team. You will develop and lead maintenance programs to keep metrology and assembly equipment safe, available, and producing high quality results.

You will manage Die Bond and Oven maintenance teams, drive TPM, cost control, and safety compliance, and mentor technicians while coordinating cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Relevant vocational training and a degree with subject-specific qualifications.
• Equivalent knowledge and skills considered with qualification or experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define comprehensive maintenance programs for safe, available equipment.
• Lead Die Bond and Oven maintenance teams to perform timely unscheduled maintenance.
• Manage maintenance costs to sustain optimal equipment performance.
• Coordinate TPM activities and safety, health, and environment (SHE) tasks.
• Train and certify the Die Bond and Oven technical team.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Develop and define comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure all equipment, including metrology equipment, is safe to operate, highly available, reliable, and capable of delivering the required quality performance.
• Lead the Die Bond and Oven maintenance teams, including maintenance technicians, to execute unscheduled maintenance activities in a timely and comprehensive manner.
• Manage Die Bond and Oven maintenance costs to sustain equipment at optimal performance levels.
• Manage the maintenance system, maintenance activities, and maintenance personnel for Die Bond and Oven assembly equipment to achieve optimal equipment efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Establish and enhance setup, conversion, and troubleshooting guidelines to ensure reliable equipment uptime.
• Investigate equipment failures and implement effective countermeasures to prevent recurring breakdowns.
• Train the Die Bond and Oven technical team by defining competency models and ensuring follow-through of technical certification requirements.
• Coordinate Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) systems and activities for Die Bond and Oven equipment within Production, including skill‑level training, certification programs, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) activities.

• Relevant vocational training (minimum 3 years) with extensive subject‑specific additional qualifications.
• A relevant completed degree program of at least 4 years' duration with subject‑specific additional qualifications, or a relevant completed degree.
• Equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through alternative qualifications, training, or experience will also be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
