Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Malaysia seeks a Staff Engineer Test Engineering to develop, maintain and optimize electrical test solutions for semiconductor products, including test programs and load boards for wafer sort and final test.

The role drives test development for new and existing products, supports production and quality improvements, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability and manufacturability in high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Requires Engineering degree (Electrical/Electronics/Microelectronics/Semiconductor Technology).
• Minimum 5 years in Semiconductor Testing with ATE experience.
• Experience with Advantest V93K or Teradyne uFlex strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good schematic interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Develops electrical test programs and load board designs for FE wafer testing and BE final test to ensure electrical validity.
• Owns test packages with major role in Test Development team, driving improvements and new product support.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, reliability and manufacturability in high-volume manufacturing.
• Provides feedback loops from production and quality data to improve test packages and solutions.

Job description

The Staff Engineer Test Engineering is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing electrical test solutions for semiconductor products, including test programs and load board designs for wafer sort and final test operations. The role serves as the technical owner of assigned test packages, driving test development for new and existing products, supporting production and quality improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and successful introduction into high-volume manufacturing.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Develops electrical test program including concept and load board circuit design for both FE electrical wafer testing and BE final electrical test to ensure product electrical validity within Infineon manufacturing operation.
• Owner of the test package(s) under his/her responsibility, with significant role in the Test Development team
  • As a closed-feedback loop from quality and production experiences to improve testpackage solution of new products.
  • Develop testpackage solution ( software and hardware ) for new products and existing products.

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Semiconductor Technology).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Semiconductor Testing and familiar with Power & Mixed Signal Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Experience in Advantest V93K, Teradyne uFlex.
• Experience in ATE measurement equipments (oscilloscope, thermostream, prober/handler basic operation).
• Experience with basic programming knowledge (Visual Basic, C++ and/or LabVIEW).
• Experience with automotive IC is a plus.
• Statistical data analysis.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Sound knowledge in schematic/electronic circuitry interpretation.
• Good aptitude in engineering analysis, problem solving and solution finding.
