Job summary

Cheme Advance Services Sdn Bhd in Butterworth, Penang is seeking a Plant Technician to support the Plant Engineer with day-to-day activities, servicing and maintenance of equipment at customer sites. The role requires ability to troubleshoot, perform testing and commissioning, and provide on-site or phone-based technical assistance.

Applicants should hold a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with at least 1 year of service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in service field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and plan routine activities to meet target service levels.
• Carry out servicing, checking, repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning & installation of equipment at customer sites.
• Brief customers on operation & maintenance after successful commissioning.
• Attend to customer calls and provide technical assistance at site or via phone.
• Attend service sites punctually as instructed by Manager/Superior.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Plant Technician is to assist the Plant Engineer for the day-to-day activities and completing the tasks assigned for the followings: -

• To provide service & plan routine activities to meet target service level.
• To carry out servicing, checking, repairing, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning & installation of equipment at customer’s site.
• Brief customers on the operation & maintenance of equipment after successful commissioning.
• Attend to customers call & provide technical assistance either at site or via phone.
• Attend to service sites punctually as instructed by Manager/Superior.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assign

Requirements

The candidate should possess at least a Diploma in related fields in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

• Preferably with at least 1 year working experience in service field.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel
• Willing to work shift
• Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia
• Good in reporting & written will be advantage
• Independent, self-motivated with minimum supervision
• Willing to learn & meticulous
