Job summary

SGET Pte Ltd in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia seeks a hands-on equipment installation specialist to install, commission and service PV/solar and related machinery at customer sites. You will train customers, handle on-site tools and materials, and ensure safety standards are met while documenting all activities.

Fresh graduates are welcome; prior field service or commissioning experience is an advantage. Willingness to travel frequently and work overtime is required, with basic English and Bahasa

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in a relevant technical field.
• Experience in field service, equipment installation or commissioning is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• PV/solar or semiconductor equipment experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of installation, wiring, piping and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Willing to travel frequently to customer sites and work overtime when required.
• Able to communicate in basic English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Responsible, hands-on, safety-conscious and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission equipment at customer sites, including wiring, piping, power-on checks and testing.
• Troubleshoot on-site, escalate complex issues when needed and maintain service records.
• Provide basic equipment operation training and support equipment trials.
• Manage on-site tools, materials and PPE.
• Ensure compliance with safety and 6S standards and complete documentation.
• Meet installation and productivity targets and perform other duties as assigned.

• Install and commission equipment at customer sites, including wiring, piping, power-on checks, and functional testing
• Troubleshoot common equipment faults on-site and elevate complex technical issues when necessary
• Maintain proper service and repair records
• Provide basic equipment operation training to customers and support equipment trial runs
• Manage on-site tools, materials, and PPE
• Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and 6S standards
• Complete installation, commissioning, and service documentation accurately
• Achieve assigned installation and productivity targets
• Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirement:

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
• Experience in field service, equipment installation, or equipment commissioning is an advantage
