Job summary

UDA Facility Management is seeking a skilled Technician – Mechanical & Electrical to join our Selangor team on a contract basis. You will perform maintenance, inspections and tests on HVAC, pumps, compressors and electrical distribution to ensure safe, reliable facilities.

The ideal candidate holds a qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in facilities management. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, keep records and support energy

Qualifications

• Qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven technician experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution and maintenance best practices.
• Proficiency with diagnostic/testing equipment (multimeters, thermal imaging).
• Ability to document work and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspection and testing of mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, compressors.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on electrical systems, distribution boards, lighting and power supply equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using testing equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty components to restore systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts used.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Respond to emergency calls promptly to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with team to ensure seamless operations.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability practices.

UDA Facility Management is seeking a skilled Technician – Mechanical & Electrical to join our dynamic team in Selangor. This is a contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your technical expertise to a growing facilities management company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of mechanical and electrical systems across our facilities, directly supporting the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

What you'll be doing

• Perform routine maintenance, inspection and testing of mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, compressors and associated equipment
• Carry out preventative maintenance on electrical systems, distribution boards, lighting systems and power supply equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and procedures
• Repair or replace faulty mechanical and electrical components to restore systems to full operational capacity
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs completed and spare parts used
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to mechanical and electrical work
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with other technicians and facility management staff to ensure seamless operations
• Support the implementation of energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability practices

What we’re looking for

• A recognized qualification or certification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
• Proven experience working as a technician in mechanical and electrical systems, ideally within a facilities management or industrial environment
• Sound knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, power supply systems and maintenance best practices
• Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing equipment such as multimeters, pressure gauges and thermal imaging cameras
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards at all times
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel between locations as required
• Good communication skills and the ability to document work accurately
• Preferably, experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
