Job description

To perform scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines.

To repair the malfunction of machines and auxiliary equipment.

To routinely check on machinery for signs of fault in order to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions.

To initiate improvement on the functionality of machines and equipment to increase its efficiency.

For more senior position, might acts as team leader to ensure that the works meet agreed targets by directly overseeing work team members.

The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

To perform and oversee equipment verification and functional testing activities, including Laser Power Monitoring, CNC Ball Bar Testing, machine health checks, and other performance validation activities to ensure equipment reliability and compliance.

Lead and support machine improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, maintainability, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Provide technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to technicians to strengthen troubleshooting capabilities and maintenance competencies.

Coordinate and communicate effectively with equipment owners and relevant stakeholders regarding downtime planning, maintenance scheduling, equipment performance, and critical issue escalation.

Prepare, review, and coordinate Permit to Work (PTW) documentation for preventive maintenance and service activities performed by external vendors, ensuring compliance with safety requirements and company procedures.

Requirements:-

Diploma holder with minimum 5 years of working experience in related field.

Required to apply basic and some advanced skills in procedure/ techniques/ tools/materials and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization.

Works under direct supervision and selects from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned task.
