Job summary

B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn Bhd (BMI) in Penang seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled maintenance, repair machinery and monitor equipment to prevent downtime. The role requires a Diploma with at least 5 years of related experience and ability to work overtime as needed.

You will contribute to improving machine functionality and may take on team-leading duties on occasion, supporting production targets within a global healthcare company.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with minimum 5 years of working experience in related field.
• Required to apply basic and some advanced skills in procedure/ techniques/ tools/materials and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization.

Responsibilities

• To perform scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines.
• To repair the malfunction of machines and auxiliary equipment.
• To routinely check on machinery for signs of fault in order to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions.
• To initiate improvement on the functionality of machines and equipment to increase its efficiency.
• For more senior position, might acts as team leader to ensure that the works meet agreed targets by directly overseeing work team members.
• Demonstrate willingness and flexibility to work overtime when required to support equipment breakdown recovery, critical maintenance activities, shutdowns, and production requirements.
• The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
