Job summary

ADEL Marketing (M) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a technical install & support specialist to install and troubleshoot smart door lock systems for hotels and properties across Malaysia.

You will configure locks, ensure proper wiring, and integrate with PMS and access control systems, then conduct testing and handover to clients. The role requires 2–5 years in related field, a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

1) Smart Door Lock Repair & Troubleshooting

Configure smart door locks, hotel door locks and smart hotel systems at project sites.

Ensure proper wiring, alignment, and integration with access control systems.

Install and configure software for hotel door locks and smart home devices.

Conduct system setup, user access programming, and integration with property management systems (PMS).

Perform functional testing and commissioning of installed systems.

Ensure all locks and smart systems are working correctly before handover to clients.

4) Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Diagnose and repair issues related to digital door locks and smart hotel systems.

Provide on-site support and preventive maintenance services to ensure system reliability.

5) Project Coordination

Plan and oversee installation schedules to meet project timelines.

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth project execution.

Monitor project progress, resolve site issues, and ensure compliance with installation standards.

6) Customer Support & Training

Provide training to hotel staff, property managers, and clients on system usage.

Offer technical support and respond to customer inquiries regarding system functionality.

7) Documentation & Reporting

Maintain installation reports, service logs, and project documentation.

Prepare handover reports and ensure project completion meets client requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and networking.

Project coordination and time management skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and handle on-site challenges.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) Educational Background:

Candidate must possess at least a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.

3) Work Experience:

At least 2-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

4) Preferred Specialization:

Preferably a technician/engineer specialized in Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
