Job summary

UDA Facility Management is seeking a Civil & Structure Technician on a contract basis based in Port Klang, Selangor. You will inspect, maintain and repair civil and structural elements of our facilities portfolio to ensure safety and longevity.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or cert in Civil Engineering or a related field, with 1–3 years of hands-on experience, familiarity with Malaysian Building Code, and a proactive, detail‑driven approach to maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Civil Engineering, Plumbing or equivalent qualification in a related field
• Minimum 1–3 years of practical experience in civil and structural maintenance or facility management
• Strong knowledge of building structures, materials (concrete, steel, masonry), and construction techniques
• Proficiency in conducting structural assessments and identifying defects and areas of concern
• Hands‑on experience with concrete repair, waterproofing, and structural reinforcement works
• Familiarity with Malaysian Building Code and relevant safety standards and regulations
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in varied weather conditions
• Valid driving license and own transportation preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Certifications in safety (e.g., CIDB certification) and first aid are advantageous

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of civil and structural elements including foundations, walls, roofs, concrete surfaces, and support systems
• Identify structural defects, cracks, deterioration, and other issues that may compromise building integrity
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on concrete, masonry, steel structures, and related components
• Execute remedial works including concrete patching, waterproofing, and structural reinforcement as required
• Monitor and assess the condition of building facades, external walls, and exposed structural elements
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs completed
• Liaise with building managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance schedules and emergency repairs
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Report on structural concerns and provide recommendations for remedial actions and improvements

About the role
UDA Facility Management is seeking a skilled and experienced Technician – Civil & Structure (C&S) to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. Based in Port Klang, Selangor, this role is pivotal to ensuring the structural integrity and maintenance of our facilities portfolio. As a C&S Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing civil and structural elements of buildings and infrastructure, contributing directly to the safety, functionality, and longevity of our assets. This position plays a strategic role in our facility management operations, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards whilst maintaining optimal facility conditions.

Key responsibilities
