Job summary

TCC Engineering Consultants Sdn Bhd is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer to join our Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor team. You will design, analyse and oversee construction of buildings, bridges and structures, ensuring safety, quality and sustainability per local codes.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and is on track for PE registration in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Malaysia or on track to obtain.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in civil/structural design, analysis or supervision.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building codes and standards relevant to Malaysia.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software and CAD/BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess ground conditions and feasibility of projects.
• Prepare detailed structural designs and calculations using industry-standard software.
• Develop engineering drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Perform structural analysis and modelling to evaluate loads, stresses and safety factors.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and stakeholders to ensure design integration.
• Oversee site inspections and monitor construction progress for conformity with design.

About the role

TCC Engineering Consultants Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Civil & Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure and structural projects. As a Civil & Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of buildings, bridges, and other structures that shape our built environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability whilst adhering to all relevant building codes and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess ground conditions and project feasibility


• Prepare detailed structural designs and calculations using industry-standard software and methodologies


• Develop comprehensive engineering drawings, specifications and construction documents


• Perform structural analysis and modelling to evaluate loads, stresses and safety factors


• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects


• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure design integration and constructability


• Oversee site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with design specifications


• Identify and resolve engineering challenges and design issues during the construction phase


• Prepare technical reports, documentation and project proposals


• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Malaysian building codes, standards and regulations


• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes within the firm

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution


• Professional registration or commitment to obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) status in Malaysia or equivalent


• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering design, analysis or construction supervision


• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building codes and construction standards relevant to Malaysia


• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as PROTA STRUCTURE, STAAD Pro or similar tools


• Competence with CAD software including AutoCAD and BIM platforms


• Excellent understanding of building materials, construction techniques and project management principles


• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage


• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work within project timelines


• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and environmental considerations is preferred


• Experience with railway, bridge, water or infrastructure projects would be highly valued
