Job summary

Matrix Educare in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan seeks an AV & IT Support technician to install, configure, and maintain projectors, smartboards, PA systems, microphones, and video conferencing tools for classrooms and events.

You will ensure sound quality and display clarity, test and troubleshoot equipment, manage live streaming for virtual events, and provide training to staff on using AV tools and presentations.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and configuring classroom AV gear.
• Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and event setups.
• Ability to troubleshoot audio/video issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain projectors, smartboards, PA systems, microphones, and video conferencing tools.
• Ensure proper functioning of classroom AV systems with clear sound and display.
• Regularly test, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on AV equipment.
• Maintain inventory of AV gear and manage repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
• Provide technical support for school events, assemblies, and online webinars.
• Set up and operate live-streaming equipment for virtual events and hybrid learning sessions.
• Assist in recording, editing, and broadcasting school events and activities.
• Manage lighting, sound mixing, and visuals for presentations and performances.
• Integrate multimedia tech with the school IT infrastructure and ensure cybersecurity for online content.
• Provide training to staff on AV tools and presentation technology.

Install, configure, and maintain projectors, smartboards, PA systems, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing tools.

Ensure the proper functioning of classroom AV systems, including sound quality and display clarity.

Regularly test, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on AV equipment.

Maintain an inventory of AV equipment, ensuring timely repairs, upgrades, and replacements.

2. Event Support & Live Streaming

Provide technical support for school events, assemblies, and online webinars.

Set up and operate live-streaming equipment for virtual events and hybrid learning sessions.

Assist in video recording, editing, and broadcasting school events and activities.

Manage lighting, sound mixing, and visual effects for presentations and performances.

3. IT Support for Digital & Hybrid Learning

Ensure the smooth operation of online learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and interactive digital classrooms.

Provide support for teachers and students using Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or other e-learning platforms.

Troubleshoot video and audio issues in virtual classrooms and hybrid learning sessions

4. Multimedia Content Creation & Support

Assist in the editing and production of school videos, promotional materials, and digital content.

Support the marketing and communications team by providing high-quality AV assets for social media, newsletters, and the school website.

Ensure video content, graphics, and sound elements meet quality and branding standards.

5. Network & AV System Integration

Ensure AV equipment is properly connected to the school’s network and IT systems.

Work with the IT team to integrate multimedia technologies into the school’s IT infrastructure.

Ensure cybersecurity and data protection compliance for online and streamed content.

6. Technical Support & Training

Provide technical guidance to staff and faculty on using AV equipment effectively.

Conduct training sessions for teachers and event coordinators on best practices for AV tools and presentation technology.

7. Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by Management.
