Job summary

ams OSRAM, a global leader in light and sensor solutions, is seeking a Technician/Associate Engineer (Metrology) at Kulim, Malaysia. You will maintain Wet Chemistry equipment, support line setup, and drive improvements in uptime and cost efficiency within a shift-based role.

Ideal candidates have a diploma in relevant engineering fields and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN Wet Benches, plus English/Malay fluency.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics, Production Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches, and SRD tools with scheduled PM and troubleshooting.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs in the Wet department; perform PM and document results.
• Support Tools setup, installation & qualification; plan and execute projects to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (Speed/Cost/Quality).
• Train junior technicians to attain and improve skills for line sustaining activities.

Your new responsibilities

• The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches, and SRD tools by performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting engineers in improving uptime, yield, and cost efficiency, and assisting in process transfers and new implementations, with required expertise in Veeco, Siconnex Spray, and SCREEN Wet Bench tools.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs defined in the Wet department.Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete PM documentation as required.
  Able to Perform advance machine troubleshooting. Knowledge to Wet tools (Metal Lift-off, Chemical Spray tool, Wet Benches and SRD tool) is a must. Ensure the compliance to 5S, Cleanroom & Safety Protocol.
• Support the Tools setup, installation & qualification. Plan & execute projects to improve Overall Equipment Efficiencies (Speed/Cost/Quality).
  Train junior technicians to attain and improve skills & competencies for line sustaining activities.
• Support process team for evaluation & process verification.
  Able to work in rotating shift pattern.

What we look for

• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics, Production Engineering or equivalent.
• At least with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems such as Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor/foundry environment is preferred.
• Fluent in English/Malay language (verbal & writing).
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible and able to handle stress.
