Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Wetchem Process Engineer to drive end-to-end process ownership in the Wetchem area. The role focuses on quality, yield, cost and safety, with leadership of technician teams and cross-functional projects.

You will advance DOE-based studies, manage process transfers, and implement FMEA and SPC frameworks while coordinating with equipment teams for troubleshooting and improvements.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master degree in Chemistry, Chemical, Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in Wetchem (cleaning, etching, resist stripping, etc.).
• Experience leading technicians and strong knowledge of Wetchem processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Wetchem process to meet KPIs for quality, yield, damage containment, process capability and stability.
• Lead DOE-based process window studies to optimize cost and quality; manage process transfer and ramp projects.
• Drive CIP initiatives to meet speed, cost, and quality targets; ensure 5S, Cleanroom and Safety compliance.
• Implement and maintain process FMEA, OCAP, Line of defense, FDC, SPC systems.
• Create training materials to improve junior engineers/technician competency.
• Support equipment team with troubleshooting and maintenance.

Your new responsibilities

• Process owner to meet KPIs defined in the Wetchem department. Experience knowledge to Wetchem tools (Canon, SVS, Suess, DNS, Tel or Scanner) is a must.Full process ownership on quality, yield, damage containment, process capability and stability, cost, CpK and other related KPIs.
• Advance in process window study using standard tools like DoE approach to optimize process in term of cost, and quality. Lead process transfer, process & tool qualification and ramp related projects.
• Lead and drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) interna/externally to meet require speed/cost/quality. Ensure the compliance to 5S, Cleanroom & Safety Protocol.
• Implement & setup process FMEA, OCAP, Line of defense, FDC, SPC, Anko system.
• Generate training manual and improve Junior Engineer/ Technician technical competency.
• Support equipment team for equipment troubleshooting.

What we look for

• PHD, Master/ Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical / Electronics / Microelectronics Engineering / Physics or equivalent
• At least 5 years working experience in Wetchem (cleaning, etching, resist stripping etc). Knowledge in Wetchem tools (Wetbench, single wafer processing for etching, cleaning and resist stripping) is a must.
• Experience in leading technician
• Skilled in Wetchem process knowledge, FMEA ,DOE, 8D, SPC,FDC
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible and able to handle stress
