ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors maintains Wet Chemistry equipment such as Wet Benches, Lift-off systems, and SRD tools, performing PMs and troubleshooting to optimize uptime, yield, and cost efficiency, with expertise in Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN Wet Bench tools.

The role supports process transfers and new implementations, while aiding production on a rotating shift, ensuring safety and cleanroom compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronics/Production Engineering.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience with Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems (Veeco, Siconnex, SCREEN).
• 3 years semiconductor/foundry environment experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and Malay (verbal & written).
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible and able to handle stress.
• Able to work in rotating shift pattern.

• Support uptime, yield and cost improvements; assist in process transfers and new implementations; use Veeco, Siconnex, SCREEN Wet Bench tools.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery and corrective maintenance to meet KPIs.
• Train junior technicians and work in rotating shifts; ensure 5S, cleanroom and safety compliance.

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining Wet Chemistry equipment including Metal Lift-off systems, Chemical Spray tools, Wet Benches, and SRD tools by performing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, supporting engineers in improving uptime, yield, and cost efficiency, and assisting in process transfers and new implementations, with required expertise in Veeco, Siconnex Spray, and SCREEN Wet Bench tools.
• Provide line support for equipment setup, recovery & corrective maintenance to meet KPIs defined in the Wet department.Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and complete PM documentation as required.
  Able to Perform advance machine troubleshooting. Knowledge to Wet tools (Metal Lift-off, Chemical Spray tool, Wet Benches and SRD tool) is a must. Ensure the compliance to 5S, Cleanroom & Safety Protocol.
• Support the Tools setup, installation & qualification. Plan & execute projects to improve Overall Equipment Efficiencies (Speed/Cost/Quality).
  Train junior technicians to attain and improve skills & competencies for line sustaining activities.
• Support process team for evaluation & process verification.
  Able to work in rotating shift pattern.

• Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, Electronics, Production Engineering or equivalent.
• At least with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Wet Benches, Spray tools, and single-wafer chamber systems such as Veeco, Siconnex, and SCREEN.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor/foundry environment is preferred.
• Fluent in English/Malay language (verbal & writing).
• Good interpersonal skills, responsible and able to handle stress.
