Job summary

Diamatix Resources & Engineering Sdn Bhd in Johor, Malaysia, seeks a skilled Cutting & Welding Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform cutting, welding, fabrication and repair works according to drawings, specifications and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities include reading technical drawings, performing MIG or other welding, inspecting work for dimensions and quality, and maintaining equipment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in cutting, welding, fabrication or metal works.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and take measurements.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Cutting & Welding Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out cutting, welding, fabrication, and repair works according to drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform cutting, welding, grinding, and fabrication works using appropriate tools and equipment.

Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and welding specifications.

Carry out MIG or other welding processes as required.

Inspect completed work to ensure proper dimensions, quality, strength, and finishing.

Perform equipment, structural, piping, and metal repair works when required.

Prepare and fit metal components before welding.

Maintain welding machines, cutting tools, and other workshop equipment in good working condition.

Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of gas cylinders and equipment.

Report equipment defects, material issues, and safety concerns to the supervisor.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in cutting, welding, fabrication, or metal works.

Welding/fabrication certification or technical qualification is an advantage.

Able to perform welding and cutting work with good workmanship.

Able to read basic technical drawings and take accurate measurements.

Familiar with welding and cutting tools, equipment, and safety procedures.

Able to work in a workshop or industrial environment.

Willing to work overtime when required.

Good attitude, responsible, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
