Job summary

Powerlink is seeking an electronics repair technician to troubleshoot and repair non-conforming parts and customer returns in a clean, 5S environment. The role requires adhering to repair procedures and reporting progress to the supervisor, while collaborating with production to prevent recurrence.

Ideal candidate holds an electronics-related diploma and at least 3 years of repair experience; medical insurance and a 5-day work week are provided, with training opportunities and a great team

Qualifications

• Diploma in electronics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years as a repairing technician in PCBA/electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, analyze and repair non-conformance products and customer returns.
• Maintain accurate reporting of non-conformance and customer returns.
• Provide feedback and preventive actions to production for recurring issues.
• Fulfill customer repair schedules and update daily repair lists.
• Update daily production reports on materials and inventory.
• Report abnormalities and maintain 5S in the repair area.

Job description

• 1. Troubleshooting, analyze and repair non-conformance product and customer return set.
• 2. Maintain accurate reporting records for production non-conformance and customer return set.
• 3. Provide feedback and suggest preventive actions to production if repeated nonconformance parts were detected in the assembly process.
• 4. Fulfil customer repair schedules and update repair progress to the Marketing PIC on the daily repair list.
• 5. Accurately update daily production reports on raw materials, WIP and FG inventory status.
• 6. Report any abnormalities to the Superior promptly and maintain 5S standards in the workplace.

Authorities:

• 1. Access and analyse defective parts or customer return units for repair.
• 2. Authorize repair actions on non-conformance product within established procedures and quality standards.
• 3. Recommend preventive actions production teams when recurring non-conformance are detected.
• 4. Update and submit accurate repair and defect reports to Supervisor/ OM.
• 5. Communicate repair progress status to Marketing in-line with customer repair
• 6. Halt or elevate repair jobs if abnormalities, safety hazards or major defects are found.
• 7. Enforce compliance with repair processes, documentation standards and 5S practices in the repair area.

Job requirement

• 1. Education level related to any electronic certification, Diploma or any relevant education standard.
• 2. Minimum 3 years working experience as repairing technician at any of PCBA or electronic manufacturing industry.

We also produce and sell a line multifunctional sockets called Modulinks socket, that are designed to be able to replace any damaged unit without replacing the whole rack, so if there is an electronic shock the waste produced will be much smaller than otherwise, so the ecological impact is greatly reduced.Currently, our Modulink Socket is installed at Petron oil stations and Pan Malaysia (DA MA CAI) throughout Malaysia.

Powerlink founder, Managing Director Lau Teik Hock had been working for Panasonic before he founded this company. Mr. Lau Teik Hock had a first-hand experience on how the youngsters and children in Asia are more exposed, for cultural reasons, than Europeans or Americans.

For instance, Taiwan now has the largest radiation of exposure of any country in Asia, as WiFi service is pervasive and most people carry two mobile phones, one for personal use and another for business.

It has been scientifically proven that electromagnetic radiation slows blood circulation. So we can realized that, everyone spend most hours of the day subject to harmful levels of electromagnetic radiation form computers, WiFi and mobile phones.

Powerlink product SAVLINK, LCARE AND LCARE GO lines were designed to reduce up to 95% of the electromagnetic radiation emitting from most electronic devices, including mobile phones, computers and WiFi routers. We have found that hospital in Malaysia and Singapore have been very receptive to this kind of technology, as it can improve micro-blood circulation in patients and all type of centers where different health-care treatments are provided, as proven by the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) already obtained.

We have also already started exporting to several Taiwanese medical centers recently. But we believe that there needs to be an information campaign for the private users to take up this kind of products, that is why we have started with the hospital and health-care markets in nearby Asian countries.

We would like to expand our current reach beyond our markets of Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan and have our products reach Europe, North America and Japan soon. We are optimistic that our products can make life easy and healthy for our customers and we are ready to expand worldwide to prove it.
