Job summary

Gangyao Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform equipment installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth factory operations.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics and a minimum of 2 years in equipment maintenance; fresh graduates with strong learning ability may be considered. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred to facilitate communication with colleagues and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in mechanical/electrical/mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant equipment maintenance experience.
• Electrical/mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.
• Experience with stamping, spraying/coating, or other manufacturing equipment is an advantage.
• Familiar with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth factory operations.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance per company standards, safety requirements, and procedures.
• Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular equipment inspections for reliability and efficiency.
• Assist with installation, testing, commissioning, and improvement projects.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and suppliers for maintenance and support.
• Provide technical input to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
• Perform other duties assigned by Management as needed.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Experience with stamping equipment, spraying/coating equipment, or other manufacturing equipment will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of equipment troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and problem-solving.
• Familiar with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Electrical competency certification / Wireman Certificate is an added advantage.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong execution skills with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet assigned deadlines.
• Willing to work overtime, on-call support, or support urgent maintenance activities when required.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications and strong learning ability may be considered.
