Job summary

Kien Seng Engineering & Trading Sdn Bhd in Klang/Kapar is seeking a technical sales and business development professional with strong understanding of palm oil mill processes and industrial equipment. You will travel locally and internationally to meet clients, present proposals, and close deals while building strong client relationships.

The role requires communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Qualification in business, marketing, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of palm oil mill processes, machinery and equipment.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in sales, marketing, engineering or project management in palm oil mill or industrial machinery is an advantage.
• Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in palm oil mill and industrial equipment.
• Travel locally and overseas to meet clients, present sales proposals, and close deals.
• Build and maintain relationships with global clients.
• Understand client requirements and provide technical solutions for machinery and systems.
• Prepare quotations, tenders, and engineering documents.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to fulfil project needs.
• Support project execution including fabrication, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical advice to sales team and customers.
• Monitor progress, timelines and costs; report to management.
• Achieve sales targets and provide regular reports.

Responsibility

• Technical Sales & Business Development: Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the Palm Oil Mill (POM), heavy machinery, and industrial equipment sectors.
• Travel locally and internationally to meet clients, conduct sales presentations, site visits, and close deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential global clients.
• Understand client requirements and provide suitable technical solutions for Palm Oil Mill machinery and systems.
• Prepare and present technical sales proposals, quotations, tenders, and engineering documents.
• Design, develop, and propose improvements to Palm Oil Mill machinery and systems where required.
• Coordinate closely with the Engineering and Production teams to ensure project requirements are properly understood and fulfilled.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, production teams, and clients throughout project execution.
• Support project execution, including fabrication, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical support to customers.
• Provide technical advice and product knowledge support to the sales team and customers.
• Monitor project progress, timelines, and cost control where involved in project execution.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and provide regular sales and project reports to management.
