Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to lead technical safety strategy for Topsides, Hull, Marine and Mooring across FEED and EPC phases in Malaysia.

The role requires guiding MDR, design basis, and subcontractor safety deliverables, plus leading safety assessments and ensuring closure of all recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Registered with Board of Engineers or recognized international body preferred.
• Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety strategy for Topsides, Hull, Marine and Mooring during EPC/FEED.
• Oversee MDR, basis of design and subcontractor scope for safety.
• Review MOC and Safety Case deliverables and close comments.
• Identify design changes from safety assessments and ensure closure.
• Develop technical and leadership capability aligned with company vision.
• Ensure documentation and data management per Offshore Standards.

Responsibilities

Lead technical safety strategy for Topsides/ Hull/ Marine and Mooring for Engineering Definition deliverables and FEED deliverables throughout all phases of engineering. Lead preparation of MDR, basis of design and scope of work for subcontracting, process safeguarding philosophy, lead safety assessment (i.e. HAZID/ HAZOP/ LOPA) at concept, Engineering Definition and FEED level. Review operational MOC, Formal Assessment Study and Safety Case deliverables by sub-contractors and revert comments as per Offshore Management Standards. Identify design changes in Operation, FEED and DDE deliverables by sub-contractors and ensure all recommendations from safety assessments are closed. Plan continuous development for technical and leadership capability to support MISC vision and mission. Carry out documentation and data management as per Offshore Management Standards for Process & Utilities deliverables.

Experience

At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in project planning, supervision and design work associated with offshore oil/gas production and processing facilities or other branches of engineering as appropriate. Must have at least three (3) FPSO project experience. Work experience with a design/safety consultant for engineering an upstream facility as a Senior safety engineer is essential.

Qualification

Possesses recognized B.Sc. or B.E. degree in a relevant branch of engineering or equivalent. Registered with Board of Engineers or recognized International Institution Preference: Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate / Registered with recognized professional body.
