Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Topside Piping & Layout Lead to act as the discipline authority for topside and piping activities across all design phases. You will coordinate with the Design Engineering Consultant (DEC), vendors and project stakeholders to ensure technically integrated and compliant designs for offshore facilities.

Ideal candidates have eight years of offshore engineering experience, FPSO exposure, and are registered engineers.

Qualifications

• At least eight years of relevant experience in offshore oil/gas facilities or related engineering fields.
• FPSO project experience is required or highly preferred.
• Registered with Board of Engineers or recognized international institution.

Job description

TOPSIDE PIPING & LAYOUT LEAD Act as Discipline authority and focal point for Topside and Piping matters with the Design Engineering Consultant (DEC), VENDORs and other Project Stakeholders. Monitor the DEC’s performance against the applicable contract, Scope of Work, Project Specification, Design basis, codes, standards, approved procedures, master Deliverables Register (MDR) and Engineering Schedule. Lead Concept Layout Study, Engineering Definition deliverables, FEED deliverables and DDE review for Piping and Layout throughout all phases of engineering. Ensure the DEC’s multidisciplinary design is technically integrated and addresses process safety, hazardous area requirements, accessibility, operability, maintainability, constructability, modularization, lifting transportation, installation and future operations. Execute Mechanical Basis of Design, Topsides functional specification and SOW (inclusive of its sub-section) for MSQ / RFQ of Topsides engineering services. Lead preparation of MDR, calculation report, engineering analysis, engineering drawings and equipment / packages specification at conceptual, Engineering Definition and FEED level. Review FEED and DDE deliverables by sub-contractors and revert comments as per Offshore Management Standards. Identify design changes for Piping and Layout in FEED and DDE deliverables by sub-contractor. Plan continuous development for technical and leadership capability to support company's vision and mission. Carry out documentation and data management as per Offshore Management Standards for Mechanical Department deliverables. Control technical queries, deviations, concession and proposed design changes within delegated authority. Assess their technical, safety, cost and schedule implications and ensure that no change is implemented without the approvals required under the Contract and Project change-control procedure.

EXPERIENCE:

At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in project planning, supervision and design work associated with offshore oil/gas production and processing facilities or other branch of engineering as appropriate. Have at least one (1) FPSO project experience. Experience in floaters type design aspect is preferred (Conceptual Study, FEED and DDE).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possesses recognized B.Sc. or B.E. degree in a relevant branch of engineering or equivalent (Mechanical or other related engineering) Registered with Board of Engineers or recognized International Institution.
