Job summary

Veeco is seeking a Technical Product Support Engineer for its Precision Surface Processing division in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves diagnosing complex field escalations, troubleshooting PSP wet process platforms, and delivering expert technical support during installations and NPIs.

You’ll collaborate with engineering to drive product quality improvements and ensure customer satisfaction. You will coordinate with field service teams, prepare documentation, and participate in design

Qualifications

Associate degree plus 7+ years in semiconductor equipment field service or equivalent
Bachelor’s with 5+ years; Master’s with 3+ years; degree-waiver considered
Proven experience supporting high-tech capital equipment with integrated mechanical and electrical systems

Responsibilities

Own resolution of complex technical escalations from the field and coordinate resources
Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and process issues across PSP wet process platforms
Provide expert technical support to field service teams during installations, upgrades, and NPI
Assist in failure analysis and document findings for corrective actions
Create and maintain technical documentation such as troubleshooting guides and service advisories
Support engineering design reviews with customer feedback and serviceability input
Assist with pre-release testing and training for field adoption
Maintain Veeco safety protocols and customer EHS standards
