Job summary

Xircle Talent is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to manage M&E services and support the Senior Facilities Manager in site facility operations, HSE, procurement, vendor management, and staff leadership for both helpdesk and technical teams at a Tier III data center or equivalent.

The role requires CDCP certification and a strong background in building systems, with an ability to lead critical activities during non-office hours while maintaining statutory compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

• CDCP certification is required.
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Operational Engineering.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in engineering, semiconductor, or critical environments.
• 1-2 years operating electrical and mechanical services in a Tier III data center or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with M&E and building systems (CRAU, chillers, PDU, UPS, Switch Gears Ops, DX cooling, network cabling, security).
• Competency in Job Hazards Analysis (JHA).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse client and vendor staff.
• Experience with continuous improvement, client relationship management, and documentation preparation.
• Ability to lead major data center activities during non-office hours.
• 33KV Chargeman Certificate is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing operational standards, procedures, preventive and planned maintenance programs, repair/replacement initiatives, and helpdesk management to minimize plant failure risks.
• Recommend and implement continuous management initiatives and energy management plans to improve energy efficiency (PUE).
• Create and maintain the site asset register, ensuring statutory compliance.
• Review and manage stock levels of critical spares on site.
• Manage ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Submit timely and relevant reporting data to the Facilities Manager.
• Provide second-level support and manage site operations in the Facilities Manager's absence.
• Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with HSE standards.
• Collaborate with the HSE Executive on planning, executing, and delivering HSE procedures.
• Conduct performance assessments of technical vendors, ensuring delivery aligns with SLAs/KPIs.
• Assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring vendor procurement processes comply with client and company guidelines.
• Prepare job descriptions for technical staff and assign manpower to specific tasks.
• Advise the technical team and manage their work schedules.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse client and vendor staff.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, client relationship management, and documentation preparation.
• Sound written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation abilities for client review meetings.
• Ability to lead major data center activities during non-office hours, when required.
• A 33KV Chargeman Certificate is an advantage.
