Job summary

CTC Global Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer to deploy and manage enterprise networks, perform preventive maintenance, and support customers on-site.

You will work with Cisco switches/routers, ASA firewall, Wireless LAN, and security products; CCNA/CCNP certs are preferred. Strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience deploying and managing infrastructure.
• CCNA/CCNP and related security certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 switching and routing.
• Experience with Cisco switches/routers, ASA firewall, Wireless LAN.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Schedule with customers for preventive maintenance and onsite activity.
• Perform onsite preventive maintenance activity.
• Provide onsite or offsite support to customers.
• Update incident tickets in FSMS promptly.
• Carry out basic installation (single technology) and assist complex installations.
• Ensure deployment meets project timelines and update tickets.
• Conduct project testing and commissioning with customers.

Job description

• Schedule with customer on preventive maintenance activity.


• Perform onsite preventive maintenance activity.


• Provide onsite or offsite support to customer.


• Update incident ticket in a timely manner in FSMS.


• Involved in department rotation standby rooster.


• Responsible to carry out basic installation (single technology).


• Assist in complicated installation & project that involve multiple product.


• Ensure deployment according to timeline.


• Update installation ticket in a timely manner in FSMS.


• Ensure project deployment according to timeline.


• Provide input for document development of project.


• Capture and update project implementation technical issued for lesson learn.


• Conduct project testing and commissioning with customer.


• Update installation ticket in a timely manner in FSMS.


• Update timesheet in Intranet system timesheet.


• To conduct a minimum of one knowledge sharing session.


• To conduct CTC service review before closure of the project.


• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent


• Minimum 3 years’ experience deploying and managing infrastructure


• Must be CCNA certified (Cisco Certified Network Associated), CCNP, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, FireEye SEwill be advantage.


• Qualified candidates should have well rounded experience with full network diagnosis, configuration and problem resolution.


• Advanced experience in troubleshooting layer 2 and 3 routing and switching issues


• Knowledge of protocol analysis tools used to troubleshoot layer 2 & 3 issues Technical Support for critical situations


• Protocol decoding and analysis using a variety of software tools e.g. sniffer, wireshark etc


• Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco switches and routers, Wireless LAN, Cisco ASA Firewall and network management and monitoring tools


• Familiar with network and security components and products such as Trend Micro, FireEye, Fortigate, PaloAlto, etc.


• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.


• Possess a positive attitude with strong verbal and written communication skills


• Ability to work independently and within a team
