Job summary

Aurecon Group in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Technical Director, Structural to lead a multidisciplinary team on industrial, commercial and infrastructure projects. You will oversee design from concept to construction, mentor engineers and ensure PE endorsement while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires a PEPC, a strong track record with large-scale projects, and business development skills to grow Malaysia opportunities within a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC), with authority to review and certify structural work.
• Minimum of 20 years of structural engineering experience on large-scale projects.
• Experience leading structural design from concept through construction.
• Strong business development skills with client relationships in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design for industrial, commercial, infrastructure, bridges or buildings.
• Plan, manage and review structural analysis, calculations and design documentation including PE Endorsement.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical and construction teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage team performance.
• Secure new work and develop Malaysia opportunities.
• Oversee schedules, budgets and resource allocation.
• Interface with clients, contractors, vendors and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and HSE policies.
