Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Geotechnical professional to join our Transport, Land, & Water team in Malaysia. The role focuses on leading site delivery, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring safety, schedule, and quality across complex earthworks and infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates will be registered with BEM, hold a Civil/Structural Engineering degree (or GeoScience), and bring 15+ years of relevant experience, with strong command of AutoCAD and MS

Qualifications

• Registered with BEM.
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or GeoScience.
• At least 15 years of working experience in earthworks & infrastructure development and consultancy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Competent in written and spoken English.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Must be proficient with local authority regulations and other compliances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of the project on site to ensure safety, schedule adherence and quality.
• Coordinate supervision of construction works activity.
• Collaborate with Clerk of Works and review design matters and changes.
• Direct daily work progress reporting.
• Assess contractor resources to meet performance and completion goals.
• Conduct weekly reviews with contractors for coordination and timely delivery.
• Monitor actual performance against targets.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements and monthly reports.
• Provide defect lists and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
• Respond to RFIs and TQs from contractors; provide technical advice to the design team.
