Job summary

Park Games Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd, a well-established playground equipment manufacturer with head office in Phileo Damansara II, PJ, seeks a CAD/CAM engineer. You will translate structural concepts into precise 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings and generate CAM programs for CNC routers and metal laser cutters.

Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering; proficiency in SolidWorks/Inventor and 2D CAD; CAM software experience for CNC routing and laser cutting; and

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in 3D parametric modeling (SolidWorks/Inventor) and 2D CAD.
• Hands-on CAM software experience for CNC routing and metal laser cutting.
• At least 2 years of experience in structural metal fabrication, pipe bending, and sheet metal folding.
• Ability to read architectural site layouts and ensure design compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Draft 3D models and precise 2D fabrication drawings for metal structures and machined plastics.
• Generate and optimize CAM toolpaths and nesting layouts for CNC routers and CNC laser cutters.
• Calculate accurate flat patterns and bend deductions for sheet metal forming.
• Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) specifying material grades and quantities.
• Coordinate with the shop floor to ensure smooth fabrication processes through accurate technical drawings.

Job description

To translate structural concepts into precise 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings, and generate the required machine programs (CAM/G-code) to operate automated factory equipment, specifically CNC routers and CNC laser cutters.

Key responsibilities

Draft 3D models and precise 2D fabrication drawings for metal structures and machined plastics using SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Inventor.

Generate and optimize CAM toolpaths and nesting layouts for CNC routers (HDPE/HPL panels) and CNC laser cutters (sheet metal) to maximize material yield.

Calculate accurate flat patterns and bend deductions for sheet metal forming and mandrel tube bending.

Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) specifying the correct material grades and quantities to facilitate seamless procurement and execution during fabrication.

Coordinate with the shop floor to ensure smooth fabrication processes through the accurate execution of technical drawings.

About you

Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

High proficiency in 3D parametric modeling (SolidWorks/Inventor) and 2D CAD.

Hands-on experience with CAM software, specifically for CNC routing and metal laser cutting operations.

Working 2 years knowledge of structural metal fabrication, pipe bending, & sheet metal folding, or a related field.

Ability to read architectural site layouts and ensure design compliance with strict safety and entrapment standards.
