Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant mechanical design/manufacturing tooling experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 2D/3D AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings for mechanical components and tooling.
• Convert concepts into drawings, dimensions, tolerances, BOMs, and specs.
• Prepare or modify MasterCAM programs and coordinate machine setup.
• Support fabrication, installation, testing, and maintenance of equipment.
• Investigate dimensional issues and recommend corrective actions.

Job description

This role involves creating and revising 2D/3D AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings for mechanical components, tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and production requirements. You will convert design concepts and production requirements into drawings, dimensions, tolerances, bills of materials, and technical specifications. The position supports the full lifecycle of mechanical equipment and systems, from fabrication and installation through testing, repair, maintenance, and improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Create and revise 2D/3D AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings for mechanical components, tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures, and production requirements
• Convert design concepts and production requirements into drawings, dimensions, tolerances, bills of materials, and technical specifications
• Prepare or modify MasterCAM programs and coordinate machine setup, operation, cutting, measurement, and first-piece inspection
• Support fabrication, installation, testing, repair, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical equipment and systems
• Investigate dimensional issues, machining defects, equipment problems, and production errors, and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues and meet project requirements
• Maintain engineering drawings, CNC records, inspection results, equipment history, and other technical documentation
• Ensure all work complies with company quality procedures, safety requirements, and relevant engineering standards
• Train operators on how to properly operate CNC machines & programs
• Perform any other tasks as and when required by manager

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, tooling, CNC, or a related field
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD drafting, preferably 2D and 3D mechanical drawings
• Practical experience in CNC/EDM Milling programming, setup, operation, or troubleshooting
• Able to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions, tolerances, cutting plans, and technical specifications
• Familiar with measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to work in a manufacturing environment
