Job summary

Nordson Advanced Technology Singapore in Malaysia seeks an engineer to join the applications team. You will provide application support and expert advice on dispensing, coating and selective soldering to distributors and customers.

You will develop tailored process recipes, conduct equipment demonstrations, and generate application reports to support both pre-sales and post-sales activities. Training will be delivered on-site or in-house, with on-site installation and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical/Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in the electronics industry; experience or knowledge in dispensing or coating processes preferred.
• Hands-on experience with dispensing, coating, or selective soldering equipment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to see the big picture.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.
• A strong team player who proactively utilizes internal resources to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and expert advice on dispensing, coating, and selective soldering processes to distributors and customers.
• Understand customer requirements and develop tailored process recipes to meet their needs.
• Conduct equipment and application demonstrations in the applications lab and generate comprehensive application reports to support both pre-sales and post-sales activities.
• Communicate professionally with customers to identify application challenges and recommend appropriate dispensing/coating/selective soldering equipment solutions.
• Deliver training sessions on dispensing, coating, and selective soldering processes, both in-house and on-site at customer facilities.
• Perform on-site equipment installation, validation, and commissioning to ensure successful setup and operation.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs for dispensing, coating, and selective soldering equipment as needed.

Skills and Qualifications
