Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks an Application Process Engineer to optimize semiconductor processes, run customer samplings, and provide critical support for tier-1 clients regionally. Based in Penang, you will design experiments, analyze data, and work with R&D to refine thin-film hardware.

Requirements include a Master’s in Physics or Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in semiconductor equipment, and strong Minitab/MS Office skills. English fluency and travel across Asia/Europe are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical field.
• 3+ years in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or foundry process environments.
• Hands-on experience with Thin Film Technology (PVD/PECVD/plasma) and metrology equipment.
• Proficient in Minitab and MS Office; scripting in Python or VB is advantageous.
• Fluent in English and able to travel across Asia and Europe for training/tech transfers.

They are seeking a skilled Application Process Engineer to drive process optimization, execute customer samplings, and deliver critical application support for tier-1 semiconductor and electronics clients across the region.

• 3+ years in semiconductor equipment manufacturing (OEM) or foundry process environments.

• Hands-on experience with Thin Film Technology (PVD, PECVD, or Plasma Physics) and metrology equipment. Reactive/metal sputtering or ICP etch experience is a plus.

• Proficient in Minitab and MS Office; Python or Visual Basic scripting is advantageous.

• Fluent in English with the ability to travel on short notice across Asia and to Europe for training/tech transfers.
