Job summary

RHB Banking Group is seeking a Team Lead, Product Management to oversee a team of Product Managers in the Digital Merchant Solutions unit. You will guide the development and execution of digital payment solutions, align with strategic goals, and support the Head of Digital Merchant Solutions in advancing the portfolio.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, establish governance, and drive customer-centric product enhancements while ensuring regulatory compliance with BNM and PayNet

We are seeking a highly motivated Team Lead, Product Management to join our Digital Merchant Solutions team. In this role, you will lead a team of Product Managers in driving the development, enhancement, and execution of digital payment solutions that deliver exceptional value to merchants. You will oversee the product portfolio, drive innovation, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure alignment with the bank's strategic objectives while supporting the Head of Digital Merchant Solutions in advancing the digital merchant solutions agenda.

What you will be doing

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Product Managers by setting clear objectives, providing coaching, and conducting performance reviews to drive individual and team excellence
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture through knowledge sharing, capability building, and continuous professional development
• Manage team resources, workload allocation, and prioritization to ensure optimal execution of product initiatives and strategic objectives
• Drive product innovation by leveraging market research, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to identify emerging trends and business opportunities
• Establish frameworks for product ideation, prioritization, and evaluation to ensure focus on high-impact initiatives aligned with business goals
• Champion customer-centric product development by incorporating merchant feedback and market demands into product enhancements and new digital payment solutions
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with IT, Operations, Compliance, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive successful product development, implementation, and commercialization
• Serve as the primary escalation point for product-related matters, coordinating resolution efforts and ensuring timely delivery of critical initiatives
• Present product portfolio performance, strategic recommendations, and key updates to senior management and stakeholders
• Establish and maintain product management standards, governance frameworks, and operational processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all initiatives
• Review and approve product documentation, system operational processes, governance materials, and project deliverables prepared by the team
• Ensure all products and solutions comply with regulatory requirements, including BNM and PayNet guidelines, while proactively adapting to evolving industry standards and regulations
• Support the Head of Digital Merchant Solutions in driving portfolio growth, strategic initiatives, and digital transformation efforts

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Product Management, Digital Payments, Transaction Banking, Merchant Acquiring, FinTech, or related fields
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing product teams
• Strong understanding of digital payment ecosystems, merchant acquiring solutions, and transaction banking products
• Demonstrated ability to manage product portfolios, complex projects, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and translate customer needs into product solutions
• Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including BNM and PayNet regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
• Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and passion for driving innovation
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
