Job summary

Jardine Schindler Group in Malaysia (Selangor, Petaling Jaya) seeks an experienced finance professional to supervise and mentor a team of analysts in daily tasks, month-end close, and reporting. You will oversee end-to-end general accounting activities, ensure compliance with SOPs, and drive process improvements across the shared services function.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA/CPA/CIMA, with 3+ years in an SSC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) required.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance within a Shared Services Organization.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and mentor analysts in daily tasks, month-end close, and reporting.
• Oversee end-to-end GA process, manage daily workflow, and monitor KPIs.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, and internal controls; identify process improvements.
• Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany analyses.
• Assist internal or external auditors, and support ad hoc projects and migrations.

Join us as a

• supervise, train and mentor analyst / senior analyst in daily task, month end close activities and reporting etc to foster high-performance team
• oversee end-to-end GA process, manage daily workflow, allocate task and monitor team performance against KPIs
• ensure full adherence to company’s accounting policies, and procedures (SOP) and work instructions
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
• monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing internal controls
• act as the focal point to ensure effective communication and resolution of operational issues and decision
• build long term relationship with internal and external stakeholder (e.g. other operation functions, operating companies etc)
• Perform any duties as assigned by the team manager
• responsible for month-end/ quarter end/ year end GL close activities and other relevant tasks of entity’s result by adhering to BSC SOPs
• meet the SLA KPI set in Enterprise Service Management (ESM)
• prepare reporting, analytical review of financial reports
• process journals by getting relevant information on timely basis
• provide support and service requests from Operating Companies such as generating reports in a timely manner
• maintain general ledger data integrity via balance sheet reconciliation, identify issue, unreconciled and aged items
• record fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions in accounting system
• prepare SST/GST/VAT/WHT report and ensure timely submission/payment to local authority.
• reconcile and analyse intercompany accounts
• assist with requests by internal and/or external auditors
• involve in ad hoc projects and migration

• Detail Oriented person with good analytic skills.
• Must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance/ Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
• Full set account knowledge is preferable.
• Good knowledge in Accounting, Project Costing, Taxation and Company Secretarial work.
• 3 years and above working experience in accounting/ Finance environment within a Shared Services Organization.
• Experience in lift industry is an advantage but not necessary
