We are seeking an energetic, adaptable Teaching Assistant to work directly alongside our Academic Coordinator. This role offers hands-on mentorship to help you grow your career in education from the ground up. You will play a key role in bringing our teaching philosophy to life by developing creative teaching content, conducting language classes, assisting in curriculum research, and supporting centre administration and student enrolment.
Presentation & Slide Design: Convert core curriculum outlines and raw teaching materials provided by the Academic Coordinator into visually appealing, interactive slide decks (PowerPoint / Canva).
Research & Curriculum Support: Conduct research on lesson materials from various external educational sources to enhance interactive teaching resources.
Class Instruction: Conduct potential English, Mandarin, or Malay classes (group or private) as assigned.
Lesson Plan Development: Assist in formatting, structuring, and organising weekly lesson plans, worksheets, and supplementary learning activities.
Administrative & Sales Support: Perform administrative operations and support sales/student enrolment duties as required by management.
Academic Prep & Coordination: Ensure digital assets, physical printouts, test papers, and teaching tools are organised and ready ahead of classes.
Teaching Philosophy & Mindset: Strong alignment with our core teaching philosophy, believing in experiential learning, making lessons fun, enjoyable, creative, and out-of-the-box while maintaining academic excellence. Ability to bring fresh, engaging ideas into language education.
Target Candidate Profile: Ideal for entry-level candidates aged 18 to 24 looking to grow and build their skills in educational management and teaching from the ground up.
Minimum Qualification: Minimum SPM Certificate required. (Diploma/Degree in Education, TESL/TEFL, Language, or Mass Communication is a bonus).
Required Experience: At least 6 months of teaching experience (group or private tutoring).
Tech & Presentation Skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, or similar presentation design tools.
Language Proficiency: Strong command of spoken and written English. Spoken fluency in Mandarin or Malay is a strong plus.
Key Traits: Eager to learn, adaptable, proactive, and open to handling both teaching and administrative/sales duties.
