Job summary

Standard Language Centre in Malaysia is seeking a driven Teaching Assistant to work with the Academic Coordinator. The role involves creating engaging slide decks, researching curriculum content, and assisting in language classes (English, Mandarin, Malay).

Qualifications

Minimum SPm Certificate required. (Diploma/Degree in Education, TESL/TEFL, Language, or Mass Communication is a bonus).
At least 6 months of teaching experience (group or private tutoring).
Strong alignment with experiential learning and engaging language education.
Entry-level candidates aged 18 to 24 are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Convert core curriculum outlines into visually appealing, interactive slide decks (PowerPoint / Canva).
Conduct research on lesson materials from various external educational sources to enhance interactive teaching resources.
Conduct potential English, Mandarin, or Malay classes (group or private) as assigned.
Assist in formatting, structuring, and organising weekly lesson plans, worksheets, and supplementary learning activities.
Perform administrative operations and support sales/student enrolment duties as required by management.
Ensure digital assets, physical printouts, test papers, and teaching tools are organised and ready ahead of classes.
