Job summary

Elite Material (Penang) Sdn Bhd (EMC) seeks a Tax Executive to lead the company’s tax compliance and advise on Corporate Income Tax, SST, WHT, transfer pricing and GMT matters. The role partners with internal teams, tax agents and authorities to ensure timely filings and accurate disclosures.

The position requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Taxation with at least 3 years in taxation or related fields, and proficiency in English and Mandarin for cross-border coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting/finance/taxation.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant taxation or audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Corporate Income Tax, SST, WHT and tax filing requirements.
• Good command of English and Mandarin, with ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s tax compliance including tax filing, reporting and liaising with external tax agents and authorities.
• Handle indirect tax matters including SST, WHT and stamp duty with timely submissions.
• Manage Corporate Income Tax matters including computations, filings, schedules and documentation.
• Coordinate Transfer Pricing documentation and liaise with external agents.
• Support GMT/Pillar Two compliance, including related reporting.
• Oversee MIDA Tax Incentive applications and compliance monitoring.
• Monitor tax regulations and provide guidance to stakeholders.
• Support tax audits and related projects as assigned.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Tax Executive to manage the company’s tax compliance and support various taxation matters, including Corporate Income Tax, SST, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing, Global Minimum Tax (GMT/Pillar Two) and MIDA Tax Incentives. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders, external tax agents and relevant authorities to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s overall tax compliance, including tax filing, reporting and liaison with external tax agents and relevant government authorities.


• Handle indirect tax matters, including SST, Withholding Tax (WHT) and Stamp Duty, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.


• Manage Corporate Income Tax matters, including tax computations, tax filings, tax schedules and supporting documentation.


• Manage Transfer Pricing matters, including preparation of supporting documentation, compliance requirements and liaison with external tax agents and consultants.


• Support Global Minimum Tax (GMT/Pillar Two) compliance, including related tax reporting and documentation.


• Manage MIDA Tax Incentive applications, compliance monitoring, reporting and follow-up with relevant tax agents and government authorities.


• Monitor changes in tax regulations and requirements and provide relevant tax-related advice to internal stakeholders.


• Support tax audits, tax-related projects and other taxation matters as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

Must Have

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.


• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in taxation or audit, preferably in a manufacturing company or accounting/tax firm.


• Good knowledge of Malaysian Corporate Income Tax, SST, WHT and tax filing requirements.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.


• Good written and verbal communication skills.


• Able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.


• Good command of English and Mandarin, with the ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking counterpart or stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Experience in Transfer Pricing and related documentation.


• Knowledge or experience in Global Minimum Tax (GMT/Pillar Two).


• Experience handling MIDA Tax Incentives, including applications and compliance requirements.


• Experience liaising with tax agents, consultants and government authorities.


• Experience supporting tax audits and tax-related projects.


• Relevant professional taxation or accounting qualifications would be an added advantage.
