Job summary

Elite Material (Penang) Sdn Bhd seeks a seasoned Treasury leader to supervise the team and oversee daily online payments, FX transfers, and treasury documentation. Responsible for dual authorisation and internal controls to safeguard assets.

You will forecast cash flow, monitor liquidity, and manage working capital to support business operations. Collaboration with banks on facilities and FX risk is essential, with ongoing process automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance or related field.
• Min 5 years in treasury, cash management, banking or related finance function, with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of treasury management, banking facilities, Letter of Credit operations and Bank Negara foreign exchange requirements.
• Strong team leadership, negotiation and analytical skills with high integrity and confidentiality.
• Proficient in ERP treasury systems and online banking integration; attention to detail.

Job description

Team Supervision & Treasury Operations: Supervise the Treasury team and oversee daily online banking payments, foreign currency telegraphic transfers (TT) and treasury documentation. Review transactions and ensure proper dual authorisation and internal controls are followed.

Cash Flow Forecasting & Liquidity Management: Prepare short-, medium- and long-term cash flow forecasts, monitor daily cash positions, manage working capital and ensure sufficient liquidity to support business operations.

Banking Facilities & Foreign Exchange Management: Liaise with banks and oversee the application and maintenance of banking facilities, including Trade Lines, L/C, Trust Receipts (TR) and Overdraft facilities. Monitor import and export foreign exchange activities and manage foreign currency exposure through natural hedging.

Treasury Process Improvement & Automation: Oversee treasury process improvement and automation projects, including Host-to-Host bank integration and ERP treasury module enhancements, to improve operational efficiency and strengthen cash management controls.

Company Secretarial & Compliance Coordination: Coordinate with external company secretarial firms and internal departments to provide information and supporting documents required for SSM filings, Board resolutions and other statutory matters.

Job Requirements

Possess a min. Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance or related field.

Min. 5 years of relevant experience in treasury, cash management, banking or a related finance function, with supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of treasury management, banking facilities, Letter of Credit operations and Bank Negara foreign exchange requirements.

Strong team leadership, negotiation and analytical skills with high integrity and confidentiality.

Proficient in ERP treasury systems and online banking integration, with strong negotiation and analytical skills. High integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.

PMP, ACT or other relevant finance or treasury certifications will be an added advantage.

Good verbal communication skills in Chinese and English. Proficiency in Chinese is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
