Job summary

Elite Material (Penang) Sdn Bhd (EMC) is seeking a Fire Control Operator to manage monitoring in the fire control room on rotating shifts. The role includes inspecting equipment, coordinating maintenance, and responding to emergencies in Simpang Ampat, Penang.

The candidate should have at least SPM or equivalent and be able to work nights, weekends, and 12-hour shifts, with more than 2 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in fire control operations is required.
• Knowledge of fire safety laws and regulations.
• Familiar with fire safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate monitoring equipment in the fire control room on a shift basis.
• Regularly inspect fire control equipment and coordinate with relevant departments for annual testing and maintenance.
• Monitor in real-time, detect abnormalities, and act according to emergency plan.
• Conduct daily fire safety inspections.
• Participate in fire safety training and drills.

Job description

Responsible for operating the monitoring equipment in the fire control room on a shift basis.

Regularly inspect fire control equipment and coordinate with relevant departments for annual testing and maintenance of firefighting equipment.

Monitor in real-time, promptly detect any abnormalities, and take immediate action according to the emergency plan.

Conduct daily fire safety inspections.

Regularly participate in fire safety training and drills.

Requirements:

MinimumSPMor equivalent.

Willing to work inSimpang Ampat.

Must be able towork rotating shifts, including nights and weekends (12-hour shifts).

Available towork 6 days a weekwith 1 day off.

More than 2 years of experience in fire control operations.

Familiar with fire safety laws, regulations, and fire safety knowledge.

Familiar with various fire safety equipment, such as fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and the operation and maintenance of fire extinguishers.
