Job summary

INNOVADS SDN. BHD. is seeking a Network & System Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring uptime and robust security across hyper-converged systems and networks.

You’ll work on virtualization, enterprise networking, and security platforms, delivering mission-critical support and collaborating with developers, IT support, and vendor engineers to drive digital transformation and project delivery.

Qualifications

Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in CS/IT/CE.
Vendor certifications such as NSE/FCNSA, CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, MCSE, or VEEAM VMCE are a strong advantage.
Experience with virtualization platforms and enterprise networks.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, AD, DNS/DHCP.

Responsibilities

Provision, manage, and maintain enterprise server, storage, and HCI environments.
Perform routine upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and backups for high availability.
Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and VM issues (Tier 2/3).
Design, configure, deploy, and maintain core networking hardware and wireless networks.
Monitor, plan capacity, and manage backup/DR strategies across platforms.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Network & System Infrastructure Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade IT infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime, robust security, and optimal performance.

You will work across hyper-converged systems, virtualization, enterprise networking, and security platforms—driving digital transformation and providing mission-critical operational support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Provision, manage, and maintain enterprise server, storage, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments.

Execute routine system upgrades, patch management, hardware firmware updates, and scheduled backups to ensure high availability and data integrity.

Perform root cause analysis and resolve Tier 2/3 hardware, OS, and virtual machine issues.

2. Network Infrastructure & Operations

Design, configure, deploy, and maintain core networking hardware including routers, core/access switches, and enterprise wireless networks.

Optimize network traffic, VLAN topologies, routing protocols, and QoS settings to ensure high performance and reliability.

Troubleshoot complex layer 2 and layer 3 connectivity issues across multi-site environments.

3. Network Security & Compliance

Implement and manage perimeter security solutions, including Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and IPS/IDS platforms.

Manage secure remote access methods, site-to-site VPN tunnels, and Zero-Trust access policies.

Conduct periodic vulnerability scans, audit system configurations, and apply security hardings aligned with industry standards.

4. Monitoring, Capacity Planning & Backup Management

Proactively monitor network and server health using enterprise monitoring tools to preemptively identify bottlenecks or hardware failures.

Manage backup, disaster recovery (DR), and replication strategies across multi-platform environments.

Perform capacity planning and recommend hardware or bandwidth scale-ups based on projected growth.

5. Technical Documentation & Collaboration

Create and update comprehensive network diagrams, topology maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system documentation.

Partner with cross-functional teams (developers, IT support, vendor engineers) to execute infrastructure projects smoothly.

Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues from end-users and internal staff.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

Education & Credentials

Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant vendor certifications are a strong advantage (e.g., NSE/FCNSA for Fortinet, CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, MCSE, or VEEAM VMCE).

Core Technical Skills

Virtualization & HCI: Hands-on experience with platforms such as H3C HCI, Sangfor HCI, VMware ESXi/vCenter, or Microsoft Hyper-V.

Operating Systems & Directory Services: Strong command of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu), and basic SQL Server administration.

Networking & Protocols: Deep understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF routing, VLAN tagging, and STP. Hands-on experience with H3C, Cisco, or Allied Telesis gear.

Network Security: Practical experience configuring and managing Next-Gen Firewalls (e.g., Fortinet), WAF, and VPN endpoints.

Storage & Data Protection: Familiarity with SAN/NAS deployment, as well as enterprise backup solutions like VEEAM, Vinchin, or similar recovery systems.
