Job summary

Tune Protect Group Berhad is seeking a Senior Network & Server Support Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to manage and optimize our network, server, cloud, and infrastructure platforms. You will provide advanced Level 2–3 support, drive proactive maintenance, and champion continuous service improvement as a technical SME for our infrastructure technologies.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners on modernization, capacity planning, DR readiness, and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Min 5 years of experience in enterprise network and infrastructure support.
• Hands-on with Huawei/Aruba networks and enterprise firewalls.
• Experience in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Proficient in network monitoring and observability tools.
• Ability to work across multi-site environments and document SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and optimize enterprise network, server, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
• Provide Level 2–3 support for infrastructure incidents and service requests.
• Administer network technologies including LAN/WAN/WLAN, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, including patching and hardening.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, storage, and cloud services.
• Proactive monitoring, health checks, and performance analysis.
• Lead troubleshooting during major incidents and restore services quickly.
• Conduct RCA and implement preventive measures for improved stability.
• Plan upgrades, migrations, and capacity enhancements.
• Drive automation and standardization for efficiency.
• Support DR/BCP and resiliency testing; ensure recoverability.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and governance frameworks.

The Senior Network & Server Support Engineer is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing the organization's network, server, cloud, and infrastructure platforms to ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of business-critical systems and services. The role provides advanced Level 2 and Level 3 technical support, drives operational excellence through proactive monitoring, incident resolution, preventive maintenance, and continuous service improvement, and serves as a technical subject matter expert for infrastructure technologies.

This position also requires working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners. engineer supports infrastructure operations, technology modernization, capacity planning, disaster recovery readiness, and strategic infrastructure initiatives. The role plays a key part in delivering resilient, secure, and scalable technology solutions that enable business growth, operational efficiency, and service stability across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and optimize enterprise network, server, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability.
• Provide advanced Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for infrastructure incidents, service requests, and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business disruption.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure technologies including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, while configuring and enforcing network security controls such as firewall policies, access control lists (ACLs), network segmentation, and secure connectivity solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise services.
• Administer Windows and Linux server environments, including system maintenance, patching, hardening, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Manage and support core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and cloud services
• Perform proactive monitoring, health checks, and performance analysis to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Lead troubleshooting and service restoration activities during major incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical and recurring incidents, implementing corrective and preventive measures to improve system stability and prevent recurrence.
• Plan and support infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes, migrations, modernization initiatives, and capacity planning activities.
• Drive infrastructure automation, standardization, and operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve service quality.
• Support disaster recovery (DR), backup validation, business continuity (BCP), and resiliency testing to ensure infrastructure recoverability and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and infrastructure governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure services.
• Develop and maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, runbooks, and technical knowledge repositories.
• Monitor and report on infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and service metrics to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network, server, virtualization, cloud, and infrastructure technologies, providing technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members.

Job Requirements

Education/Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Min 5 years of experience

• Experience in Windows and/or Linux Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure monitoring, observability, and performance management tools such as Zabbix, Dynatrace, PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, Grafana, and similar platforms.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex network and infrastructure issues within a multi-site environment.
• Experience in managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, routing, switching, firewall, wireless, and security technologies.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices, servers, and infrastructure services.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP and enterprise networking protocols.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
• Ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network and infrastructure technologies.
